In Alberta, customers can choose their electricity supplier from a number of independent retail suppliers.
Retail Suppliers
Consumers are encouraged to research the best electricity provider that fits their needs. For more information about utilities and advice on choices for utilities, please visit the Utilities Consumer Advocate website.
Please contact a retail supplier for:
- Questions or information about your bill;
- To request new service to be energized;
- Re-connections after a service is disconnected;
- To request temporary or permanent service disconnection; or
- For customer account questions.
Rate of Last Resort
A Rate of Last Resort option is available to those customers who do not choose an independent retail supplier.
The default service provider for electricity in the Town of Ponoka is ENMAX (310 – 2010). To learn about the current rate being charged to Regulated Rate Option customers, please visit the ENMAX website.
