Temporary Road Closure Planned on December 8 for Holiday Train Event in Downtown Ponoka

There will be a temporary road closure in Ponoka on Monday, December 8 for the Holiday Train event. The road closure will be on 50 Street between 47 Avenue and 49 Avenue from about 4:45 to 6 p.m.

Motorists are asked to please drive with caution in the area and observe ‘No Parking’ signs and barricades. Pedestrians are also urged to stay clear of the railway tracks.

The Holiday Train will arrive in Ponoka at about 5:15 p.m. and will feature a live concert by Jade Eagleson and Teigen Gayse from about 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. The event is free to attend. Citizens are encouraged to bring cash or a non-perishable food donation for the Ponoka Food Bank if able.
