New Drop-in Programs Begin May 12 at the Ponoka Arena Complex
More than 10 Drop-in Programs to Choose from Including Dodge Ball, Flag Football, Touch Rugby and Tots Play Time
Spring and summer drop-in programs begin on Monday, May 12 at the Ponoka Arena Complex with new programming that includes:
- Dodge ball;
- Flag football;
- Touch rugby; and
- Tots play time.
These drop-in programs are in addition to the return of:
- Volleyball;
- Pickleball;
- Lacrosse;
- Basketball;
- Badminton;
- Soccer; and
- Ball hockey.
“We are excited to offer more drop-in programming options this year, giving citizens more ways to stay active and enhance the quality of life in Ponoka,” said Sandra Lund, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Ponoka.

Equipment will be available for use; however, individuals can also use their own equipment.
All ages can participate. Children under the age of eight will require direct supervision from a person 16 years of age or older.
Recreation Passes Available
To access the drop-in programming, citizens can purchase a single-use pass at the Arena, a 20-visit punch pass for the Arena or a Recreation Pass which gives users access to all drop-in programming at the Arena and the Ponoka Aquaplex (including swimming, water fitness classes and racquetball).
