Participate in the Citizen Satisfaction Survey

A women talking on the phoneThe Town of Ponoka is gathering public input through a statistically valid Citizen Satisfaction Survey.

If you receive a phone call from a professional research firm, Advanis, with the caller ID ‘Town of Ponoka’ (depending on your phone settings) please answer the call and provide your input.

A representative sample of Ponoka citizens will be contacted for this telephone survey to determine their views on topics, such as the quality of life in the community, satisfaction levels with municipal services, and priorities that citizens would like Council to consider as it prepares to deliberate the 2023 Budget.

The survey should take about 20 minutes.

Please note that a test sample of 25 citizens was contacted to do the survey last week. During those pre-tests interviews, it was determined the test survey was too long. The survey has since been shortened and should now only take about 20 minutes.

Because the survey is statistically representative, the Advanis phone interviewer may ask to speak to someone of a certain demographic in your home (for example a male over 18) in order to collect views that demographically represent our community as a whole.

You may get a phone call even if you live in Ponoka County or a neighbouring town because the survey uses random dialing.

One of the first questions asked will be whether you live in the Town of Ponoka or own property in the Town of Ponoka. If you don't, please just let them know and they will politely end the call.

If you aren’t selected to participate in the Citizen Satisfaction Survey, you can offer your input on the 2023 Town Budget at www.letstalkponoka.ca.
